“The client wanted a modern and efficient new lighting system for the main administration offices of the Klosterkammer, covering corridors, offices, the laboratory, workshop, break room, library, and conference room. Existing downlights in the corridors and louvered pendant luminaires in the offices and other areas were to be replaced with state-of-the-art LED lighting.
What convinced the client was the virtually endless number of possible applications, the modularity and interchangeability, and the ease of material and building integration of our modular, miniaturized LTwo® light source/luminaire system — featuring 12 high-quality precision optics and a newly developed magnetic lamp/luminaire holder for simple, tool-free installation.
Thanks to the ±20° angle adjustment integrated into the holder and functional accessories such as goosenecks and pendant rods, even the numerous historical paintings in the corridor areas and offices could be optimally illuminated using the world’s smallest wallwasher — the LTwo CC25 Wallwasher in 3000K with a CRI of 94.
This high-quality lighting ensures that the colors in the paintings appear vibrant, detailed, and as true-to-life as possible — allowing visitors to perceive the artwork much more realistically.
In the corridor areas, outdated downlights were upgraded to a high-end linear lighting system using the Lumami Downlight with the LTwo CC25-60° in a 562mm length. This transformation was achieved using the existing ceiling cutouts — turning point lighting into linear lighting without altering the building’s architecture.
The uniform illumination created a completely new, modern spatial atmosphere that enhances the comfort and well-being of occupants. The rooms now appear far more contemporary and uncluttered, and the client has personally thanked us for the beautiful new lighting:
“Are you the ones responsible for this amazing new lighting?”
With Lumami Downlight, you can effortlessly turn a point light into a homogenous linear solution — achieving up to 5600 lumens from a small ceiling cutout of just 50–68 mm, without interfering with the existing architecture.
The modern new office lighting — as well as lighting in the conference room, library, laboratory, and workshop — was realized using the Lumami Track System with a track-based power system due to the high concrete ceilings.
For general, task, and workstation lighting, the LTwo-CC25 with 60° optics in 562mm and 842mm lengths was chosen as the base module.
Thanks to the track system and the flexibility of the LTwo lighting system, which allows light modules to be adjusted to different lighting tasks, the client now has the adaptability they desired. As the office layout frequently changes, or spaces are repurposed, the LTwo’s modularity provides maximum freedom. Our unique LTwo light construction kit enables the client to choose from a wide variety of configurations to meet their specific lighting needs.”
